1. We sincerely thank the St. Elijah Small Christian Community for cleaning the church yesterday. They were 7 in number. Next week, it will be the turn of the St. Leo the Great Community, followed by the St. Luke the Evangelist Community.
2. Small Christian Communities that have not yet submitted the contribution of TZS 2,000 per baptized member towards the construction of the Alternative Cathedral in Pugu are requested to complete the exercise. Likewise, Community Chairpersons are requested to submit lists of the faithful who have made these contributions so that proper records can be maintained.
3. The Pastoral Department of the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam invites all the faithful of the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam to participate in a special workshop to be held on 26 September 2026 at Uhuru Stadium. The purpose of the workshop is to strengthen our faith and build Synodal unity within our Archdiocese.
We are also requested to contribute a participation fee of TZS 5,000, which will be used to cover various expenses. Please register through your respective Small Christian Communities.
4. There will be an orientation seminar for members of all Executive Committees of the Small Christian Communities and Zones on Sunday, 13 September 2026, immediately after the Second Mass, at the Cardinal Rugambwa Hall. All the leaders concerned are kindly requested to attend the seminar without fail.
5. The Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam, the Most Reverend Vincent Lawrence Mpwaji, will officially arrive at his residence, which is located within the area of our parish, on 9 September 2026. He will arrive at 4:00 PM. He will first come to the church, where he will spend a short time in prayer before proceeding to his residence in Masaki.
All parishioners are warmly invited to come and welcome him.
6. Today, the children who have been attending First Holy Communion classes will receive the Holy Eucharist for the first time during the 5:15 PM Mass. Therefore, there will be no evening Mass to allow other children to attend and participate in this special Eucharistic celebration.
7. We would like to remind everyone to continue fulfilling their pledges towards Tegemeza Kanisa, as the culmination of this year's campaign is fast approaching.
8. The Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam, the Most Reverend Jude Thaddeus Ruwa’ichi, invites us to participate in the Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to commemorate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, 12 September 2026, beginning with Holy Mass at 9:30 AM at the Pugu Pilgrimage Centre.
Before Mass, Confessions will be available from 7:30 AM. After Mass, there will be an exhibition of an authentic replica of the Shroud of Jesus.
